AGILE conference 2024

Researchers, developers, lecturers, students, and practitioners of Geo-Information Science and Technology gathered in Glasgow for the 27th AGILE conference from 4 - 7 June 2024.

Delegates presented ongoing research, showcased products, networked with colleagues from Europe and the rest of the world, and exchanged the latest developments in the field.

Keynote speakers were: Dr. Alessia Calafiore, Lecturer in Sustainability and Urban Data Science at Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture; Dr. Rafael H. M. Pereira, Head of Data Science at the Institute for Applied Economic Research in Brazil; and Dr. Somayeh Dodge, Associate Professor of Spatial Data Science at the University of California Santa Barbara.

The conference theme was, 'Geographic Information Science for a Sustainable Future' which aimed to explore the critical role of geographic information science in shaping a sustainable future.

AGILE 2024 was organised by the Urban Big Data Centre and hosted, at various campus venues, by the University of Glasgow.

Dr Alessia Calafiore, Lecturer in Sustainability and Urban Data Science at Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, delivered the final keynote presentation of AGILE 2024 on 'Urban Data Science for Sustainable Mobility Transitions'.
