Data collected by government, business and other organisations is a vast resource which can be used for the mutual benefit of academic research, data owners and society as a whole.
Sharing your data for analysis with UBDC’s trusted research community can reveal and validate its value as a key source of evidence for policy development or as a means of generating economic impact.
UBDC works closely with a wide variety of data owners to agree terms that maximise the value of data while safeguarding the data owner’s interests.
Our data collections range from open data, through data with some restrictions required by data owners, to controlled data that is limited to accredited users and accessible only in highly secure environments.

We currently have close partnerships with Glasgow City Council, Huq, Adzuna, Zoopla, GALLANT, and North Lanarkshire Council. With regular contact, we are able to maintain and develop our relationships so that our academic research is of mutual benefit to the data owners and wider society.
