The Urban Big Data Centre (UBDC) at the University of Glasgow is currently seeking a new Centre Manager to manage its operations and finances.
Funded by UKRI-ESRC, UBDC exists to promote innovative research methods and the use of novel forms of data to improve social, economic, and environmental well-being in cities. UBDC delivers analyses with demonstrable impacts on public policy, society and industry and offers essential data infrastructure in support of priority areas including transport, neighbourhoods and housing and education, skills and labour.
The successful applicant will provide support and advice to the Centre Director and the UBDC Senior Leadership Group to ensure effective delivery of the Centre’s strategy, as agreed with the University and funders. They will contribute to the Centre’s long-term sustainability planning and contribute to the development of a common, co-ordinated approach to project and business support across other Centres within the University’s School of Social and Political Sciences.
The post is on the University’s Management, Professional and Administrative Grade, level 7, £35,210 - £39,610 per annum and is available on a full time basis. It is funded until 29 January 2024.
