As a Scientific Computing Officer – Data Services, Marta is responsible for delivering a range of information management and analytical services for the UDBC. Marta works with a wide variety of data sources for use by a diverse group of researchers and stakeholders, enabling them access to the Centre’s data service and assist with their data management and programming needs.

Previously, Marta was the Curation Tools and Service Developer for The Digital Curation Centre (DCC), an UK leading organisation in digital curation, specifically in the management of research data. Her role involved developing, maintaining and enhancing the DCC's tools, resources and applications. Marta was the lead developer of DMPonline, a Web service to support researchers in best-practice data management planning.

Whilst working for approximately 10 years as both software engineer and data/record manager, Marta has developed a range of information management solutions for diverse domains including clinical trials, social policy, financial services, and research data management. This includes analysing complex data requirements, managing multi-media data sets, developing software solutions, and defining data curation processes in line with regulatory and funder policies.
