Changing travel behaviour

Understanding current travel behaviour is only part of a transport planner’s job as achieving targets relating to decarbonisation, air quality and physical activity will inevitably require substantial changes in how we travel.

In comparison to analysing current travel patterns, different methods are required to explore how behaviour is changing over time and to examine whether a particular transport intervention has changed behaviour. This work package develops and applies such methods in order to inform real-world transport planning choices.
