UBDC runs two MSc programmes to equip the next generation of researchers with high-level skills in urban and transport analytics.

You can study with leading researchers and benefit from access to the Centre’s superb technical expertise and rich data resources. Programmes are aimed at students with a background in social sciences, but also suited to those from computing science or statistics. For more details, see below.

MSc in Urban Analytics

Around the world, city governments are realising the growing importance of harnessing the power of urban big data. This programme will provide you with the knowledge and skills to design and conduct appropriate analyses, and experience of working with cutting-edge datasets.

MSc in Urban Transport

The Urban Transport programme provides you with everything you need to begin a career as a transport researcher, analyst or planner. In addition to learning about core transport planning and modelling approaches, a variety of practical skills sought after by employers are covered such as working with geographic information systems (GIS), data science (using R), and statistical data analysis.
