Meet the team
Yunbei Ou
Yunbei joined UBDC as a Research Assistant in May 2026,where she works on projects related to housing and neighbourhood decarbonisation and resilience.
Prior to this role, she completed her PhD in Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow, where she was also based at UBDC. Her doctoral research assessed the impact of building energy efficiency regulations on the housing market, using statistical modelling and causal machine learning techniques.
She also holds an MSc in Data Science (Applied Urban Analytics) from the University of Manchester and a BEng in Urban and Rural Planning from Central South University in China.
