Abstract

The restrictions introduced by governments around the world to slow the spread of COVID19 led to a substantial rise in the level of home working. As workplaces have reopened, many workers have expressed a desire to work from home more often than the did before the pandemic. In this talk, we look at whether having a slow internet connection might limit people’s ability to increase their level of home working. We make use of a travel survey from the Puget Sound Regional Council as well as broadband speed data from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
