The Urban Big Data Centre is delighted to announce that our next free SASNet seminar will be presented by Carla Bailo, the Assistant Vice President of Mobility Research and Business Development at Ohio State University.

Her talk, 'Smart Mobility and Smart Cities - Access & Opportunities', will introduce her leading work on sustainable mobility and transport innovation and with particular focus on OSU's role in the huge $140M City of Columbus project. The presentation will detail the vast future policy, legal and wider societal implications of these advances in Smart technology for mobility with reference to the Columbus project's ongoing pilot testing of autonomous vehicles.

It will take place on the morning of 22nd March 2017 in the Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor's Kibble Suite.

The programme timings are still to be confirmed - Carla Bailo's talk will be approximately 60 minutes in length including a Q&A and we expect to add additional speakers to the morning event shortly. A networking lunch will follow the talks.

There are no specific pre-requisites for attending but the presentation is likely to be of most interest to transport professionals and urban planners from the academic, consultancy and public sectors.
